Tessa Maurer is an author, artist, and photographer located in Los Angeles, CA. She began writing books at the age of thirteen and later found that her aptitude for writing real characters and rich scenes could be applied to any area of writing, whether sales copy, website content, articles for major publications, radio ads, or anything else that lands on her desk. She loves helping others find the words just out of reach. She presently offers services as a writer, editor, proofreader, and artist.
A job in the arts certainly wasn't farfetched; rather, it was inevitable. She is the great-granddaughter of Moe Howard of The Three Stooges, her grandfather was writer/producer/comic book illustrator Norman Maurer, and her father and uncle are prolific screenwriters. Needless to say, her upbringing wasn't typical, and the idea of making fiction reality was nothing short of tangible. Captured through drawing, found by the search of a camera’s lens, or crafted with words, there is always something new she can unearth. With hundreds of drawings, thousands of photos, and some million words written, she never stops searching for the beauty in the world and the truth in fiction. You can find out more about her story over at her blog. For commissioned art, photo retouching, freelance writing services, and more, you can contact her here. |
